About MSC

The Moroccan Society of Criminology is a global organization made up of members committed to advancing academic, scientific, and professional understanding of the assessment, origins, impacts, prevention, regulation, and rehabilitation of crime and delinquency.

Objectives

The Society’s objectives are to encourage the exchange, in a multidisciplinary setting, of those engaged in research, teaching, and practice so as to foster criminological scholarship, and to serve as a forum for the dissemination of criminological knowledge. Our membership includes students, practitioners, and academicians from the many fields of criminal justice and criminology.

Meetings

The Society organizes an annual conference focused on discussions of topics of broad interest. Past themes have included: “Assessing the Present: Current Insights and Future Directions,” “The Causes and Effects of Crime: Contributions from Multiple Disciplines,” and “Criminology, Justice, and Public Policy in the Modern Era.”

Employment Opportunities

The Society hosts an employment exchange during its annual meetings and maintains an active job listing service as part of the Career Center on its website.

Publications

Members receive the journals *Criminology* and *Criminology & Public Policy*, along with a newsletter called *The Criminologist*. The Society also has specialized divisions, including Corrections and Sentencing, Critical Criminology, Women and Crime, International Criminology, and People of Color and Crime. These divisions regularly distribute their own newsletters, journals, and announcements.

Information Sharing

The Society actively collaborates with professional criminology organizations around the world. This exchange not only enriches the professional experiences of the individual members involved but also advances the Society's objectives and contributes to the broader field of criminology and criminal justice.
